To start
Alrighty. To start I have to say, the sportsman ship of GW has hit the floor since Alliance Battles started. I have , and I know others too, have been kicked out of mission groups b/c we were the opposite faction.

The Names
Even though I am a Luxon I am dissapointed in my faction. Yesterday after my party won a battle we were called Suxons and Turtle Rapers. One of our own replied with Kurdicks and Tree F**kers. And Today I lost a battle and we shot back ,after the now normal name calling, that the only reason they won is because there were no trees to screw. I mean when did a video game become so violent. I mean yea I can handle all the crap out there, it's just the appaling nature of our own that surprises me.

I mean it's a flippin video game. When did it become a "life and death" matter?

I see this happening as well. I think of it just as a way for immature people to feel better about themselves. Unsportsmanly conduct is becoming common place in games now a days, people are becoming more vulgar, probably due to the lack of virtues and morals. I myself do not engage in this childish banter, because I see it as something that can only make me look like an idiot.

I usually leave local off due to the obscenities, but there isn't much you can do about it because of the way those people were brought up. That's how I see it at least.

Simply because AB is full of noobs that think they are PvP stars using pre made builds, touchers W/MO with totem axes and mending... and etc.

if you see someonedoing that just say gg. know your better then them and dont sink to their level.

True true i start each battle by wishing everyone gl and to have fun (hopefully reminding them it's just a game). Not sure if its that or not but seems since I started the amount of name calling and trash talk is significantly less. Still get a few immature people that seem to think name calling makes their victory that much more satisfying, or take the pain outta the utter beating they are recieving and like evryone here I just tend to ignore it all.

I haven't seen it that much, and I've never seen anyone kicked from a mission group. Do you mean kicked from AB teams? Cause some are paranoid that you join and then leave or leech so the team is down 11 to 12 though
that's not common either.

Okay, before everyone hate-mails you to death let me ask you something: How often do you AB? It sounds like you dip into it here and there, not really play for like 2 straight hours or something. And when I was talking about getting kick from team I was talking about mission groups for the kurzick side.
and those ppl are only paranoid b/c the last group had one probably.

Yesterday I had some odd things happen in AB.

1: At Grenz a guy called us noobs for having 0 bases, but he was just stood in spawn base, he hadn't moved all match. Now thats what a noob.

2: A necro called me a W***er. Later in the match I learned he was a 55 necro (cause I killed him in a split second).

Just 2 of the things which some idiots do in AB. If your going to call people names, at least back it up with skill.

I know. I had some weird stuff happen to me too last night.
I was abing and I donno how old this toucher ranger that comes up. I'm on a base of corpses and he start taunting me. I stay on the base till it's capped, and he calls me Moa Sh*t. I had NO idea if that was some new noob name or something, so I teleported over while he was typing and kicked his ass. At the end I found out he was in like 3rd grade, and was calling random ppl "His noob names". Little kids are annoying when they get the ide that they are all powerful, and masters of killing and stupid names like that.

I personaly think that the kurzicks AND the luxons both have bad sportsmanship.... we should have a sit down but you no that will NEVER happen....

I killed i guy in about 4 secs with my war, then he called me a "noob tree hugger." Of course i shot back,"If im a noob tree hugger, and i just pwned you in 4 secs, what does that make you?" Then someone else on my team said, "lol, a newb turtle humper." Of course he shot back, the guy on my team shot back, and so on. Then i pwned him again, and he left, after calling kurzicks "noob tree-f***ing b****es", then kurzicks flamed luxons, luxons flamed kurzicks.

lol I was on that team. He was a noob. and the whole "tree hugger" thing was made up b/c the kurz had Turtle humprs on the lux.

if someone burns me hard i retort back with an insult or ignore them, but i also give him props in my mind and make a mental note to re-use it at a latter time when provoked.

yeah it makes me giggle too and I'm 36.

when some little smart alek starts calling people names and the other people start calling them names back I think its hillarious. as someone pointed out its only a game. So some 3rd grader with ADD called you a treef***** or a turtleh*****. So what? it really doesnt say anything about you and it says volumes about them.

I talk trash sometimes too but I try to be funny instead of crude. I used to play a wammo and right before every match I 'd say over general chat:'OK I STILL HAVE SOME ENERGY WHO ELSE NEEDS MENDING??' Some jokes never get old.

Then there was a match where i had an earth spiker and this water ele killed me while i was spiking someone else. I killed him in a close fight later on and over general came up with 'Take that waterboy!' Everyone including him and me on both sides was LOLing about that.

so yeah, enjoy the good trash talk and try to laugh at the bad and realize its usualy some little kid who use the game to feel big. Really its nothing any more personal than that.
